Loomline Studio began after its founder spent several years watching small businesses hand over deposits to agencies that treated every brief as a template exercise: a theme selected from a catalogue, a designer's name that changed twice before launch, and a final invoice that bore little resemblance to the original quote.
The studio was built on the opposite habit. Every project gets a fixed price agreed in writing before work starts, one named designer who stays on the job from first sketch to handover, and a review against the original brief before anything is called finished. Typography and imagery are licensed properly, code is written by hand rather than assembled from a theme, and builds are tested across the browsers and devices a client's actual customers use.
None of this is unusual practice for a well-run studio; it simply requires doing the ordinary things properly and saying so plainly, rather than dressing up a shortcut as a feature.
We check each build against the brief line by line before it goes anywhere near a client's inbox; that habit catches more problems than any amount of good intention.
Directness
Clients speak to the person doing the work, not an account manager relaying messages between departments. Questions get answered by someone who actually knows the project.
Craft
Code is written by hand for each project rather than adapted from a theme. It takes longer at the outset and produces a site that is easier to maintain later.
Accountability
A named designer is attached to every project from quote to handover, so responsibility for the outcome never becomes unclear. If something needs fixing, the same person who built it fixes it.
